OPERATION 22; Letters To Vets

VETERAN LETTER PROJECT

Veteran Letter Project is a personalized handwritten letter program that provides support to veterans though handwritten letters from other veterans and active duty military personnel. Letters are personalized for each veteran’s unique journey based on their personal stories. Each letter offer hope, encouragement and a reminder them they are seen and supported.

We create personalized, letters for veterans based on their stories transitioning out of residential treatment programs, adjusting to civilian life after military service, or facing challenges like PTSD, anxiety, depression, or suicidal thoughts.

For many veterans, the battle doesn’t end when they return home. Transitioning to civilian life can bring an overwhelming wave of emotions, challenges, and isolation. For those dealing with PTSD or struggling with suicidal thoughts, this transition can feel impossible. We understand these struggles, and we’re here to offer support that can help lighten the load.

One of the hardest parts of leaving military service is adjusting to a life that feels so different from the one you’ve known. The camaraderie, the structure, and the sense of purpose can be hard to replace, and many veterans feel lost, alone, and disconnected from the civilian world. It’s no wonder that so many veterans face intense emotional struggles during this time. For some, these challenges lead to suicidal thoughts.

The risk of suicide is tragically high in the months following a veteran’s discharge. For too many, the isolation and the invisible scars of war become unbearable. But the truth is, you don’t have to go through this alone. Whether you’ve been out for months, years, or even just days, we want to remind you that your story doesn’t have to end here.
